Sloppy Joes - Real Food

Memorial Day weekend is coming up.
Simple Real Food is always good,
and this happens to be an easy fix.
I don't usually post recipes on the blog,
but thought this was worth sharing.
I don't actually use recipes most of the time,
so this can be altered to make your taste buds happy.

Per 1 lb. ground beef (browned)
add:
ketchup - 1/3 - 1/2 cup (about)
a couple slices of onion - chopped fine
Worcestershire sauce - a tablespoon or so
garlic salt & pepper
then if you like, you could add:
chopped peppers, celery, parsley or cilantro - whatever you like:)
I toasted the buns like I would do a grilled cheese sandwich -
buttered then grilled.

They might be good with a little shredded cheese.
I served them with corn.  Corn on the cob would be best,
but my corn is only about 2 inches tall right now.
One pound fed myself and Mr. LB, but he works hard...eats lots.
You can adjust the amounts for your family.

I hope you enjoy.
Have a fabulous weekend~
and maybe fit in some stitching.

Until next time

  1. looks and sounds very tasty, would have to leave out the garlic however and tomato sauce, maybe use fruity sauce instead,

  2. The sloppy joes look so yummy, and who doesn't love a toasted roll?
Thank for stopping by my "first layout page" post. The shiny green stuff is actually a wire type ribbon covered with green glitter. The ribbon is very messy to work with but once left alone it is fine. This ribbon was on clearance at Michaels. I also picked up some burnt orange color around Halloween season. The price was $1!!!!!
    Have a wonderful holiday weekend.

WE are going to be busy working on the remodel! So I don't know if Memorial Day will feel like Memorial Day.
Farmers gernerally don't know that is supposed to be a day off! If it is raining, then it's a day off....:)
Hope you have a great weekend!
