You are so right. And now that I think about it I miss those conversations too. How sad at what we are becoming and all our children are missing out on.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12186145855262209247noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5885548773613247997.post-88747254004540620462016-04-01T11:37:50.248-07:002016-04-01T11:37:50.248-07:00Amen. So grateful for those who take pride in the wisdom and uplifing words, rather than whining or complaining. Thanks for adding this to FromTheFarm. But when I think about it everything starts at home so when we raised our kids we didn't live near either set of grandparents so we shared those stories with our kids. Had discussions and included them so that our children would grow up knowing how to have a conversation. Today having a conversation that isn't politically correct is almost impossible - every body is so offended by everything. There's so much emotion based on lives that really haven't even accomplished much but push buttons on a phone. It's heart breaking sometimes to live in this world.... However I recently decided that it's better to go out into this world and be a light - set an example. When I see children especially I smile at them and if opportunity arises I engage in conversation with them and their parents. So I'm one of the few that actually asks others - "hows your day going" I'm a worker always have been - have an energy for positive living and simply hope that one day others will do the same.
Enjoy this - was a great read for me this morning - Thank you!

Carole @ Garden Up GreenCarole Westhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12774719532693908705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5885548773613247997.post-79625687905482886512016-03-24T08:54:43.366-07:002016-03-24T08:54:43.366-07:00I grew up in a family of old folks, I loved the co...I grew up in a family of old folks, I loved the conversations and the stories. With kids sitting around texting the kid (never an adult)across the table, you have to wonder if they even have ears or vocal cords.Gorges Smythehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08777621500611603786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5885548773613247997.post-59851722710128667002016-03-24T07:11:34.480-07:002016-03-24T07:11:34.480-07:00I could not agree more.
