Our tomatoes have been delicious this year. Maybe the sunny side of the house next year :-) Or I could just send you some - I'm sure they'd be good when they arrived via USPO (hahaha).Lady Locusthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12661298925602199106noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5885548773613247997.post-73950605597763768122020-09-04T11:33:56.058-07:002020-09-04T11:33:56.058-07:00Coffee is important! :-) I looked at the price of...Coffee is important! :-) I looked at the price of tomatoes in the store yesterday and in one picking estimate I had about $30-$40 worth of tomatoes sitting on the counter. And they taste sooo much better.Lady Locusthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12661298925602199106noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5885548773613247997.post-71101285746178529732020-09-04T05:54:14.946-07:002020-09-04T05:54:14.946-07:00Good heavens gal, guess you both did have a lot on...Good heavens gal, guess you both did have a lot on your plate and no wonder you needed to get away if only a few miles away. And your dad.... almost a month in the hospital and I'd be snapping at everybody. But then since he was sick perhaps he felt too bad to energize that emotion.

I too love cauliflower and particularly summer tomatoes. Well, I love all vegetables. Sadly the tomatoes I've purchased from the farmer's market this year haven't been all that great; but they are better than the ones purchased from the store. I've tried growing my own here but the soil is too acidic plus living surrounded by woods there isn't anywhere on the property they would get the amount of light needed for a good growth. Sorry my comment ended up being a book.Saundrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05442552781415793671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5885548773613247997.post-60105261747419624602020-09-03T13:44:18.203-07:002020-09-03T13:44:18.203-07:00Good thing you had that little stove! I should try to grow more tomatoes next year. This year I grew one plant, and absolutely loved the taste of them. I am so impressed with all of the canning and harvesting that you do.TheAwakenedSoulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11636961399581011120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5885548773613247997.post-12524334442145727582020-09-01T13:28:10.196-07:002020-09-01T13:28:10.196-07:00I agree with both of those statements! :-)I agree with both of those statements! :-)Lady Locusthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12661298925602199106noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5885548773613247997.post-31418622537642836132020-09-01T12:28:58.427-07:002020-09-01T12:28:58.427-07:00There's always a bit of sadness in seeing the ...There's always a bit of sadness in seeing the birds flocking together as they prepare to go.
